EAR CANDLING
...or thermal-auricular therapy, is a non-invasive treatment which can help some ear, nose and throat conditions. An alternative to syringing or grommets.

Hollow tubes made of cotton, soaked in beeswax, honey and herbs are gently inserted into the outer ear. When lit, the candle acts like a chimney, causing the warm air inside it to rise creating a vacuum at the bottom. This vacuum gently stimulates the ear, facilitating removal of excess wax and impurities. The burning of the candle helps to equalise pressure and may ease inner ear problems.

You may feel sleepy and relaxed after the treatment but this will wear off in a short period of time. Also you should try to keep your ears dry for 24 to 48 hours after receiving the treatment.
